A pair of 1960s half-hoop earclips in 18K yellow gold, finished in a soft satin texture that keeps the surface matte rather than mirror-bright. A row of small raised gold beads runs along the outer edge of each hoop, catching light in individual points rather than a continuous line.
The pairing of a brushed satin ground with beaded edge detail was a common device in mid-century gold work, adding texture without full ornamentation. Stamped "M Stowe, 18K" on the reverse.
Measuring 27mm, the earrings sit close to the ear without overwhelming it, and carry solid weight at 25 grams for the pair. Fitted with clip backs.
