Ruby and Diamond 18K Yellow Gold Pendant / Brooch, Circa 1960s

SKU: N.CM.2

Two tiers of radiating gold petals build outward from a dense pavé cluster of rubies at the center, the outer petals catching light along fine linear texture while the inner tier sits shorter and tighter, giving the piece real dimension rather than a flat rosette. Ruby accents and diamond-set navette clusters sit scattered among the outer petals like leaves breaking up the gold, echoing the ruby center in smaller doses. The brooch is removable from its mount, doubling as a pendant on the accompanying 16-inch open-link chain, itself finished in the same fine linear texture as the petals; a dual-function design typical of 1960s Italian goldsmithing, where a single high-craft piece was built to serve multiple ways of wearing it. Stamped Italy. The piece shows no visible wear, tarnish, or loose stones. Measuring 45mm in diameter (brooch/pendant), on a 16-inch chain, weighing 45 grams total, set with rubies totaling 3.00 carats and round brilliant diamonds totaling 0.50 carats.
