GIA-Certified 78.67ct No-Heat Star Ruby and Diamond Bombé Ring in 14K White Gold
SKU: RO.HA.72
A single round cabochon dominates this ring; a 78.67-carat star ruby polished to a high, glassy dome rather than faceted, so the stone reads as one continuous field of deep purplish-red. GIA has certified the stone as natural corundum with no indications of heat treatment, and confirms it displays asterism, the six-rayed star that moves across the dome's surface as the stone catches light or turns. A wide bombé setting in 14K white gold surrounds the ruby in sharply defined diagonal rows of pavé, each row set with single-cut diamonds packed edge to edge; 274 stones in total, laid down as a dense field of white sparkle that frames the ruby's saturated color rather than competing with it. The scale here is deliberately outsized: a stone this large, cut as a cabochon specifically to preserve its star, is built to be the entire statement of the piece.
Excellent vintage condition; no visible wear, damage, or loose stones in photographs. Size 6. Weighs 32 grams total.
