Tiffany & Co. Sugarloaf Cabochon Emerald and Diamond Ring, 18K Yellow Gold, 1970s
SKU: RO.VH.3
A 3.15 carat oval sugarloaf cabochon emerald, GIA certified to Colombian origin, sits high in a prong setting at the center of this Tiffany & Co. cocktail ring. The domed cabochon cut shows the stone's saturation as a single unbroken surface of color rather than faceted sparkle; the hallmark of sugarloaf cutting on fine emerald. The stone carries moderate clarity enhancement (GIA F2), consistent with standard trade practice for emerald. Two channels of straight baguette diamonds flank the emerald and run down each shoulder, bordered by pavé rounds; 36 stones in total, weighing 1.62 ct combined, in exceptional E-F color and VVS-1 clarity. The baguettes' flat planes catch light in clean horizontal lines against the emerald's rounded dome, a deliberate contrast in cutting styles. Set in 18K yellow gold and stamped "18K, Tiffany & Co." inside the shank, this is a substantial 1970s cocktail ring built for presence on the hand. Excellent condition, no visible wear. Accompanied by a Tiffany & Co. ring box.
