Art Deco Emerald & Diamond Platinum Ring, 15ct Oval Emerald, Circa 1930s
SKU: RO.BB.136
A 15 carat oval-cut emerald commands this Art Deco platinum ring, its faceted crown catching light across a deep, saturated green with the internal veiling and natural inclusions typical of the species at this size. Thirty diamonds in a mix of single cuts and tapered baguettes, 0.75 carats total in H-I color and VS2 clarity; frame the stone in a stepped halo, with baguettes running the outer curve and rounds filling the inner edge, a layered approach typical of 1930s ring design. The platinum mount is pierced and scalloped beneath the halo, a detail visible from the side that adds lightness to what is otherwise a substantial center stone. At 10 grams total and centered on a size 5 band, the ring wears with real presence without excess bulk. Condition is excellent for its age: the platinum retains a bright, well-kept finish, and the emerald's visible internal characteristics are consistent with the species rather than damage.
