Art Deco Diamond Filigree Platinum Ring, 2.80ct, Handmade, 1920s

SKU: RO.HA.20

A bezel-set old European cut diamond, 0.80 carats, sits at the heart of this Art Deco ring, surrounded by twenty-eight additional old European cut diamonds totaling two carats — twenty-nine stones in all, set into a radiating, hand-pierced platinum lattice. The diamonds carry an average J-K-L color and SI2 clarity, giving the piece a warmer, more textured sparkle than icy white stones would, with the kind of visible character period cutters left in rather than polished away. The surrounding filigree is entirely hand-worked: openwork panels, milgrain edging, and a domed silhouette that catches light from every facet of the platinum itself, not just the stones. This is the kind of dense, labor-intensive bench work that defined the finest 1920s dinner rings, where craftsmanship carried as much visual weight as the diamonds themselves. At 7 grams and sized for a 6.75, the ring wears with real substance. Condition is excellent for its age: the platinum retains a bright, well-kept finish, and all diamonds are secure with no visible losses.
