Art Deco Diamond and Sapphire Platinum Line Bracelet, 4 Carats, 1920s
SKU: BO.VH.1
Ninety-five old European cut diamonds fill this bracelet's rectangular plaques in tight grid rows, each stone catching light independently rather than blending into a single sheet of brilliance. Engraved links break the pattern at intervals, their hand-cut swirl and leaf motifs adding texture where the diamond sections pause. At regular stations, two triangular sapphires flank a single bezel-set diamond, turning that section into a small diamond-within-a-diamond motif and giving the eye a resting point along the line. The plaques step slightly at each hinge, so the bracelet keeps its geometric grid look even as it curves around the wrist. Fully articulated link by link, the piece drapes rather than sits stiff, a mark of the flexible line-bracelet construction Art Deco jewelers favored for pieces meant to be worn, not just displayed. A permanent safety chain runs from the clasp to the body of the bracelet, standard practice on fine bracelets of the period. Excellent condition; no visible chips, losses, or replaced stones.
