Lapis Lazuli and Diamond 14K Yellow Gold Dangle Earrings, Circa 1980s
SKU: EO.SK.31
Four faceted lapis lazuli stones, in alternating pear and round shapes, drop from each earring in a graduated arrangement, their cut surfaces catching light in flat geometric planes rather than the rounded gleam of a cabochon. Each lapis stone sits inside its own halo of round brilliant diamonds, part of 160 diamonds set across the pair and totaling 0.80 carats in H-I color and VS-1 clarity; a dense, continuous sparkle that outlines every stone rather than simply flanking the design. The layered pear-and-round arrangement gives the earrings a cascading, tiered movement as they catch light from multiple angles. Set in 14K yellow gold, this level of multi-stone halo work reflects the more elaborate, gem-forward style of 1980s dangle earrings. At 35mm long and 7 grams for the pair, they have real presence without excess weight. Excellent condition, no visible wear.
