Victorian Sapphire and Diamond Cuff Bracelet, Silver-Topped Gold, Circa 1900s
SKU: BO.PJ.1
A single row of old mine and old European cut diamonds alternates with oval sapphires around the front of this Victorian cuff, the diamonds' open culets and hand-cut facets giving off a softer, more scattered brilliance than modern brilliant cuts. Above this row, a fine border of smaller diamonds traces the bangle's edge, adding a continuous line of sparkle that frames the larger stones below. The sapphires total 3.75 carats in a rich, transparent blue, while the diamonds total 5 carats in K-L-M color and SI-1 clarity — warm, clean stones consistent with the finest work of the period. The silver-topped gold construction, standard for fine Victorian jewelry set with white stones, keeps the diamonds and sapphires reading crisp against silver on the face while gold shows at the back and sides. English hallmarks confirm the piece's origin and period. The rigid oval cuff form closes with a box catch and safety chain, both original and functional. Excellent, flawless condition for its age.
