Retro 14K Rose Gold Sapphire & Pearl Bracelet, Circa 1940s
SKU: BO.LH.2
Bold, sculptural gold work defines this Retro-era bracelet, its wide oval links alternating with twisted rope-like scrolls in a warm, rosy 14K gold — the copper-rich alloy jewelers favored through the 1940s, when wartime platinum restrictions pushed fine jewelry back toward yellow and rose gold worked at scale. Seventy-two sapphires, mixing round brilliant and cabochon cuts, punctuate the links in small clusters, their faceted and smooth-domed surfaces catching light differently as the bracelet moves. Eighteen cultured pearls, each a uniform three millimeters, sit inside the open ovals, adding a soft, pale contrast to the sapphires' blue and the gold's warmth. At 32 millimeters wide and 7 inches long, this is a substantial, wrist-covering piece built in the heavy-gauge style Retro jewelers were known for; more sculpture than accessory. Condition is excellent for its age: the gold retains a bright, well-kept finish, and all stones sit secure in their original settings with no visible chips or losses.
