Naturalistic Branch Motif Diamond Ring, 14K Gold, Circa 1960s

SKU: RO.OK.6

Individual textured branches of 14K gold converge at the center of the ring, each one finished with a rough, bark-like surface that reads as genuinely organic rather than polished metalwork. Round brilliant diamonds sit bezel-set at the tip of several branches, scattered asymmetrically across the design rather than arranged in a fixed pattern, echoing the irregular growth of real branches. The naturalistic, sculptural treatment was part of a broader 1960s move toward organic, textured jewelry design, when goldsmiths drew inspiration directly from natural forms rather than geometric or floral motifs. The branches radiate outward from the band with real dimensional height, giving the ring a chunky, tactile presence on the hand. Seven diamonds total approximately 0.75 ct., H-I color and VS-2 clarity, set in 14K yellow gold, sized 7.5 and weighing 22.2 grams.
