A 2.55 carat oval cabochon black opal commands the center of this ballerina-style ring, its dark body tone throwing vivid flashes of blue and green play-of-color that shift with every movement of the hand. Radiating outward, 100 baguette and round brilliant diamonds; totaling 2.50 carats in F color and VS-1 clarity; fan into a graduated halo, the tapered baguettes widening toward the outer edge to create the flared, skirt-like silhouette that gives the ballerina setting its name. The effect is architectural rather than static: the diamond halo reads as movement frozen in metal, framing the opal's own shifting color without competing for attention. Crafted in platinum and stamped PT900, the ring carries real substance at 15.1 grams. This kind of sculptural, gem-forward cocktail ring design is a hallmark of 1950s fine jewelry. Excellent condition, no visible wear. Ring size: 8.75.
