A 1.35 carat old European cut diamond sits at the center of this platinum ring, its smaller table and higher crown throwing softer, more scattered light than a modern round brilliant; the cut choice that defines the ring's vintage character. K-L color and VS2 clarity give the stone a warm, clean face with no inclusions visible without magnification. Sixteen round brilliant diamonds, J-K color and VS1 clarity, line the shoulders in a graduated pavé that continues the ring's sparkle down toward the band. Deep hand-engraved foliate detailing covers the shank on both sides, a labor-intensive finishing technique that reads as raised texture rather than flat engraving, and is the hallmark of this vintage-inspired style of platinum work. Stamped "PLAT" inside the shank. At 9 grams, the ring has real substance without feeling heavy. Excellent condition, no visible wear. The accent diamonds total approximately 0.35 carats. Ring size: 6.75.
