Edwardian Diamond Heart Pendant/Brooch, 14K White and Yellow Gold, Circa 1910
SKU: PO.BB.9
A scalloped heart outline frames this pendant, its pierced platinum-white gold surface set edge to edge with seventy-four diamonds in a mix of old European, single, and round brilliant cuts. A bow motif crosses the upper portion of the heart, with a slightly larger diamond marking its center and smaller stones tracing the ribbon's curves outward. Below, a diamond-set floral spray drops toward the heart's point, ending in a single larger stone suspended just past the tip. The dense diamond coverage across the pierced openwork is characteristic of the finest Edwardian jewelry, where light was meant to pass through the metal as much as reflect off it. Suspended from its own 16-inch chain, the piece converts between pendant and brooch, offering genuine versatility beyond a fixed necklace. Excellent condition; no visible chips, losses, or replaced stones.
