GIA 3.32ct Round Brilliant Diamond Engagement Ring, 14K Yellow Gold, Circa 1960s
SKU: RO.BS.2
A 3.32-carat round brilliant sits alone at the center, held by a tall claw mount that lifts the stone well above the hand and lets light reach it from every angle. The diamond's warm, golden undertone reads clearly against its own facets; GIA grades it O-P color, meaning the tint is a genuine part of its character rather than an invisible technicality, closer to a soft champagne cast than the icy white of a colorless stone. VS1 clarity keeps the stone clean and bright despite the color, with no inclusions visible to the eye. The 14K yellow gold setting is deliberately spare: a plain rounded shank and a tall, open claw crown, built in the antique style popular for solitaires through the 1960s, when a large, confidently displayed center stone was the whole point of the design and the metalwork stayed out of its way. The accompanying GIA report identifies the center diamond at 3.32 carats.
Excellent vintage condition; no visible wear, damage, or chips in photographs. Stamped 14K. Size 6. Weighs 5.4 grams total.
