1970s Pavé Diamond Bombé Ring in 14K Yellow Gold, 5.50ct Total Weight

Seventy-one old European and round brilliant cut diamonds sweep across this ring in an unbroken field of pavé, each stone set edge to edge so light catches the dome from every angle. The high-domed silhouette swells outward from the shank, a bombé shape that concentrates weight and brilliance at the center of the hand. Two stepped gold bars cut through the pavé on either side, breaking the diamond field into a raised centerpiece and grounding the design with a flash of polished 14K yellow gold. That contrast — unbroken stone against bare metal — gives the ring its architectural edge rather than a simple cluster look.
