Certified Grade A Green Jade 18K Yellow Gold Ring, Circa 1970s

SKU: RO.HA.60

A large oval cabochon of green jadeite commands the center of this ring, its rich, even color and smooth polished surface reading as a single continuous plane of saturated green. Puffed, lined ribs of 18K gold wrap around the stone and down the shank, their rounded, tubular shape catching light along soft horizontal ridges rather than flat polished surfaces. The gold mount doesn't compete with the jade for attention; it stays low and close to the stone, letting the 16-carat cabochon read as the clear visual anchor of the piece. This kind of substantial, single-stone cabochon ring was a defining look of 1970s jade jewelry, when large, high-quality stones were set simply enough to let the material speak for itself. The jadeite is certified natural by Mason-Kay Jade Laboratory, with lab testing confirming no dye or polymer treatment which indicates genuine Grade A jade, verified rather than assumed. Stamped "18K." Excellent condition; no visible chips, scratches, or damage to the jade.
