Marti Blue and Green Enamel Button Earrings, circa 1970s
SKU: E.SO.1
A pair of 1970s button earrings by Marti in 18K yellow gold, set with a scatter of blue and green enamel circles across a domed surface. Each circle sits in its own gold-rimmed cell, so the enamel reads as distinct dots rather than a blended pattern, with the gold rims catching light between them.
Polka-dot enamel work on a domed gold ground was a recurring device in 1970s Italian jewelry, using color in discrete cells rather than continuous fields. Stamped "Marti, 18K" on the reverse.
Measuring 16mm in diameter, the earrings sit close to the ear. Fitted with clip backs.
