Vintage 1960s Pear Cabochon Emerald and Diamond Ring, 9.50ct, 18K Yellow Gold
SKU: RO.GL.3
A 9.50-carat pear-shaped cabochon emerald anchors this ring, its smooth, domed surface built to showcase color and depth rather than faceted sparkle; the right choice for an emerald with this kind of rich, saturated tone. Thirty-three round brilliant diamonds fan out around it in a sculptural, ribbon-like arrangement, the gold looping and curling between clusters of stones rather than sitting as a flat halo. The effect reads as movement, with the diamond sprays appearing almost bow-like at the top and base of the emerald. This kind of large-format, gold-forward design; where the setting itself becomes as much a design element as the center stone — is characteristic of 1960s cocktail ring construction, built to command attention across a room.
Excellent vintage condition; no visible wear, damage, or loose stones in photographs. Stamped 750. Size 7. Measures 28 x 26mm across the top. Weighs 14 grams total.
