Fiery Orange Citrine Ring with Diamond Melee in Textured 18K Gold, Circa 1960s
SKU: RO.SK.67
A large oval brilliant citrine sits claw-pronged at the center of this ring, its deep, fiery orange color catching light across broad, faceted planes. Twenty-three single cut diamonds trace the mounting in fine melee, their sparkle secondary to the citrine's bold color statement. The gold itself is the real craft story here; worked into a dense woven basketweave texture across the entire surface, a technique that turns the mounting into a tactile, dimensional surface rather than a smooth backdrop. That combination of a large, saturated centerstone and intricate hand-textured goldwork is characteristic of 1960s fine jewelry, when substantial colored stones were paired with equally substantial metalwork.
Excellent vintage condition; no visible wear, damage, or loose stones in photographs. Size 6. Weighs 9.5 grams total.
