Moonstone and diamond ring in 18K Gold and Yellow Gold, circa 1970s
44ct moonstone ring in 18K Gold and Yellow Gold, circa 1970s
Cabochon moonstone set in 18K Gold and Yellow Gold

18K Gold Peach Moonstone & Diamond Statement Ring, 44ct, Signed Zeiner, 1970s

SKU: RO.DO.1

A 44 carat peach moonstone commands this bold 1970s ring, its oval cabochon surface glowing with the soft, milky luster the stone is prized for the light seems to move beneath the surface rather than simply reflect off it. The 18K yellow gold mount surrounding it is heavily worked: twisted rope borders frame the stone, and scrolling filigree along the shoulders is punctuated by six round brilliant diamonds, 0.20 carats total in H color and SI1 clarity, their small sparkle a quiet counterpoint to the moonstone's glow rather than a competing focal point. The ring is signed Zeiner and sized 7.75. At 46 grams, this is a substantial, statement-scale piece built the way 1970s jewelers favored — dense, sculptural gold construction meant to be felt as well as seen. Condition is excellent: the gold retains a bright, well-kept finish, and the moonstone shows even luster with no visible chips or surface damage.
