Ruby and Diamond 14K Yellow Gold Flower Motif Earclips, Circa 1960s

SKU: EO.SK.17

A ring of small round rubies forms the inner petals of each earclip, set close enough that the red reads as one continuous band of color around a central diamond. Radiating gold leaves fan outward from that center, alternating fine linear texture with smooth polished ridges so the piece catches light in two distinct rhythms depending on the angle. The dimensional, sculptural gold work; leaves and rays built up rather than stamped flat — is characteristic of the hand-finished goldsmithing that defined 1960s jewelry, when texture carried as much visual weight as the stones themselves. Crafted in 14K yellow gold, the pair shows no visible wear, tarnish, or loose stones. Clip backs. Weighing 15 grams total, set with two round brilliant diamonds totaling 0.40 carats (0.20ct each, H-I color, SI1 clarity) and 32 round brilliant rubies totaling 3.00 carats.
