Retro 1940s Green Beryl Brooch, 90 Carats, 14K Rose Gold with Diamond Accents
SKU: BRO.LH.1
A single, extraordinary green beryl commands the center of this brooch, its emerald step-cut releasing long flashes of pale seafoam light with every turn; a cut chosen specifically to let a stone this size show its clarity rather than its color alone. Fluted rose gold ribbons fan out on either side, each panel curled at the tip like scrolled paper, the kind of bold sculptural volume that defined 1940s Retro design when gold itself was the point as much as any stone. Ten rose-cut diamonds trace narrow white-metal accent bars across the ribbon folds, a quiet cool counterpoint to the warm rose gold and the pale green center. At 90 carats, the beryl is the rare kind of stone a jeweler builds an entire piece around rather than sets into one with pierced scrollwork on the reverse lightens what would otherwise be a very heavy mounting. Excellent vintage condition, no visible wear, stone secure in its prongs, pin mechanism functions smoothly.
