18K Gold Ring with 4.50ct AGL-Certified Colombian Emerald and Diamond Halo
SKU: RO.HA.61
A 4.50-carat square emerald cut emerald anchors this ring, its stepped facets giving the stone a glassy, mirror-clear face rather than the typical internal garden of a fine emerald. AGL has certified the stone as Colombian in origin, the source most prized for this depth of green. A wide bezel of 18K yellow gold wraps the stone flush to the finger, while square and round brilliant cut diamonds frame the emerald and continue down each shoulder in vertical rows, alternating baguette-cut bars with pavé rounds. The effect reads as one continuous field of brilliance rather than a stone-and-setting composition; light moves from the emerald's flat planes into the faceted diamonds without a visual break. The bold, architectural scale is characteristic of 1970s gemstone jewelry, when Colombian emeralds of this size and certification anchored the boldest cocktail rings being made.
Excellent vintage condition; no visible wear, damage, or loose stones in photographs. Size 4.5. Weighs 9.6 grams total.
