1960s Diamond Doorknocker Earrings, 4 Carats, 14K Yellow Gold
SKU: EO.EB.13
Molten-looking gold forms the surface of these doorknocker earrings, its high-relief, nugget-like texture giving the impression of raw metal rather than polished jewelry. Diamonds are scattered across that textured ground irregularly rather than in a formal pattern, catching light unpredictably as the surface catches it. The doorknocker silhouette with a rounded loop hanging from a shorter top element; was one of the defining shapes of 1960s statement earrings, built for scale and movement rather than symmetry. At 44mm, these have real presence without excessive weight. Excellent condition, no visible wear, all diamonds secure, posts and backs function smoothly. Stamped 14K.
