David Webb Woven Lattice 18K Gold Huggie Earrings, circa 1970s

SKU: E.HA.13

A pair of 1970s huggie earrings by David Webb, built from fluted gold bars laid in a woven, crosshatch lattice — vertical and horizontal ribbed segments overlapping like a basketweave, each panel edged in a tight scalloped border. The reeded surface catches light in short, even strokes across the grid, giving the piece density without any single flat plane.

Webb's lattice and basketweave motifs were a signature device through the 1970s, used across bracelets and earrings alike to bring a woven, textile-like structure to solid gold. These retain their original David Webb presentation box, supporting the attribution.

Measuring 1.25 x 1 inches, the pair carries real substance at 47.2 grams without reading as oversized. Stamped "WEBB, 18K" on the reverse.
