Marina B Two-Tone Gold and Steel Heart Earclips, circa 1980s

A bold pair of 1980s heart-shaped earclips attributed to Marina B, built from interlocking segments of 18K yellow gold and polished steel fitted together in an irregular, puzzle-like pattern rather than a clean split. Each segment is finished to a high polish, so the two metals catch light differently and the geometry reads clearly even at a distance.

Marina B was known through the 1980s for pairing gold with unconventional materials, like steel among them, at a moment when Italian design was moving bold, architectural jewelry into daily wear. Stamped "18K, Italy" on the reverse.

Measuring 35 x 36 millimeters, the earrings carry real presence at 45.6 grams. Fitted with posts and omega clip backs, wearable pierced or non-pierced.
