Diamond Stacked Gold Cocktail Ring, Circa 1970s
SKU: RO.BA.1
Faceted panels of 18K gold stack and angle upward in a geometric, architectural mount, each plane catching light differently as it rises toward the center. At the peak, a bezel-set round brilliant diamond takes center stage, ringed by a halo of smaller bead-set diamonds that echo its brilliance without competing with it. The center stone weighs approximately 0.70 ct., graded F color and Internally Flawless by GIA (Report No. 14421159, laser inscribed); a rare clarity grade that speaks to exceptional quality. Eleven additional diamonds totaling 0.33 ct. line the halo, adding a continuous ring of sparkle at the base of the mount. The bold stacked-gold silhouette is characteristic of 1970s cocktail ring design, when jewelers built dramatic height and geometry into statement pieces meant to command attention. At 23 millimeters across the top and a substantial size 13, this ring has genuine commanding presence on the hand. Crafted in 18K yellow gold, the ring weighs 33 grams.
