1970s Abstract Green Tourmaline Brooch and Pendant, 18K White Gold with Diamonds

A single line of white gold zigzags across this brooch like a seismograph mid-reading, sharp peaks and loops built from one continuous wire rather than a symmetrical frame. Diamonds gather at the tip of each peak in small clusters, catching light at irregular intervals along the design's rhythm. At the center, where the zigzag crosses itself, a clean emerald-cut green tourmaline sits horizontally; the one deliberate point of stillness in an otherwise restless composition. The abstract, almost graphic quality of the design marks it as 1970s work, when jewelers were moving away from figurative motifs toward pure line and movement. It converts from brooch to pendant on its own 18K white gold diamond station chain, 16 inches long, small bezel-set diamonds spaced along the links.
