Angel Skin Pink Coral and 1.0ct Diamond 18K Yellow Gold Earrings, Circa 1960s
SKU: EO.OK.6
A pair of substantial oval angel skin coral cabochons anchors these earrings, their pale, even pink tone catching light across a smooth, unbroken polished surface. Angel skin coral; prized for its soft, consistent color, has grown increasingly difficult to source as international harvesting has tightened, making pairs matched this closely in size and tone genuinely hard to find today. A halo of 84 round brilliant diamonds surrounds each coral cabochon, their fine F-G color and VS1 clarity giving the border a bright, clean sparkle that frames the coral without overwhelming its softer hue. The scale of the coral portions, at 20 x 15mm each, gives the earrings real visual weight and presence. This kind of bold, single-stone earring with a fine diamond surround was a defining look of 1960s colored-stone jewelry. Excellent condition; no visible chips, cracks, or damage to the coral. The accent diamonds total approximately 1.0 carat.
