Two richly saturated pink tourmalines anchor these earclips, their multi-faceted oval cuts releasing bright flashes of color rather than the softer glow a cabochon would give a deliberate choice that lets the stone's clarity do the work. A multi-level, high-polish gold border frames each stone in tiered rings, catching light along its own curves before fluted vertical ridges finish the design below, like a small fan of gold at the base. The construction is confident and substantial, characteristic of Italian goldsmithing at its most architectural. Fitted with hidden, interchangeable posts, these convert easily between pierced and clip-on wear.
