Pink Coral, Lapis Lazuli and Diamond Ring in 18K Yellow Gold, Circa 1960s

SKU: RO.PP.6

A carved oval pink coral sits at the center, its surface cut into soft parallel ribs that catch light unevenly across the dome, giving the stone a warm, dimensional glow rather than a flat polish. Eight lapis lazuli cabochons ring the coral in deep, saturated blue, and each is backed by a fluted gold element shaped like an open shell, echoing the coral's own ribbing in metal. Twelve round diamonds are set in pairs between the lapis stones, adding small, controlled sparkle without competing with the color.
Cocktail rings of this scale from the 1960s were built to be sculptural first, wearable second; the stepped, fluted gold architecture beneath the stones gives this one real presence in the hand, not just on the finger.
Excellent vintage condition, no visible wear.
18K yellow gold, 16 grams, size 5.75. Natural pink coral center, approximately 20 x 15mm. Eight lapis lazuli cabochons. Twelve round brilliant-cut diamonds, approximately 0.25 total carats, G–H color, VS2 clarity.
