South Sea Golden Pearl and Diamond 18K Gold Ring, 13mm, Circa 1970s
SKU: RO.WJ.20
A round golden South Sea pearl, 13mm in diameter, sits raised at the center of this ring, its warm champagne luster reading as a solid, unbroken sphere of color against the diamonds surrounding it. Fifty round brilliant diamonds, G color and VS-1 clarity, totaling 1.50 carats, pavé the gold band densely enough to catch light from every angle, framing the pearl in continuous sparkle rather than a single row of accent stones. The pearl's size and even, warm color place it solidly in South Sea quality territory — larger and more substantial than the akoya or freshwater pearls typically seen in this style of ring. Set in 18K yellow gold, this ring is part of a matching set with a South Sea pearl and diamond bangle bracelet, allowing the two to be worn together. At 12 grams, the ring has real substance without excess bulk. Excellent condition, no visible wear.
