Layered Gold Leaf Spray Earclips, circa 1960s
SKU: E.LZ.1
A pair of 1960s earclips built from individually textured gold leaf forms, each cross-hatched along its length and layered in overlapping tiers that fan outward from a central point. The tiered arrangement gives the piece real depth, with each leaf casting a slight shadow over the one beneath it.
The layered leaf-spray motif was common in Italian gold work of the 1960s, prized for the way individually finished elements build into a single dimensional form. Stamped 750 with Italian hallmarks.
Measuring 27mm in diameter, the earrings have a rounded, compact silhouette. Fitted with posts and clip backs.
