Lapis Lazuli & Diamond 18K Gold Teardrop Earrings, Circa 1970s
SKU: EO.OA.3
Two teardrop-shaped lapis lazuli cabochons anchor this striking 1970s pair, their deep cobalt-blue surfaces polished to a glossy shine that shows the stone's characteristic fine gold pyrite flecks scattered throughout. A curved leaf motif of pavé-set diamonds sweeps across the top of each stone, 48 single round cut diamonds totaling 1.5 carats in G color and SI1 clarity, their bright white sparkle cutting sharply against the lapis's saturated blue. The 18K yellow gold bezel frames each stone cleanly, letting the color and the diamond accent carry the full visual weight of the design. At 38 millimeters long, these read as substantial, statement-making earrings with real presence. Condition is excellent: the gold retains a bright, well-kept finish, and both lapis stones show even color with no visible chips or damage.
