Emerald and Diamond Ring in 18K Yellow Gold, Circa 1970s
SKU: RO.LH.7
A square emerald cut emerald sits at the center of this ring, its stepped facets built to hold color steadily across a clean, 8x8mm face. Straight baguette and round brilliant diamonds form a tight octagonal frame around the stone, alternating cuts along the border so the halo reads as faceted architecture rather than a simple ring of accents. The same diamonds continue down the shoulders in a channel, carrying the sparkle from the halo into the band itself rather than stopping abruptly at the setting. The result is a compact, geometric silhouette characteristic of 1970s fine jewelry, when emerald cut centerstones were paired with hard-edged, faceted frames rather than the softer cluster settings of earlier decades.
Excellent vintage condition; no visible wear, damage, or loose stones in photographs. Size 6, 13 x 13mm across the top. Weighs 5.3 grams total.
