Diamond Pavé Twist Bangle in 14K Two-Tone Gold, circa 1970s

A striking 1970s hinged bangle in which bands of polished yellow gold spiral around the wrist alternating with ribbons of white gold set with 56 brilliant-cut diamonds in all, totaling 1.72 carats with G-H color and VS2-SI1 clarity.

The twisted rope form gives the bangle real movement: the diamond bands catch and throw light continuously as the wrist turns, while the polished gold ribbons between them keep the piece warm rather than cold. The band tapers from 9.5 millimeters at the top to 6.5 millimeters underneath, so it wears with presence on top and sits slim and comfortable beneath.

Hinged with a concealed clasp and figure-eight safety catch, easy to put on and secure to wear while measuring 6 inches upon inner diameter. Stamped 14K and weighs 27.89 grams.
